The lines in this catalog has no carriage return and linefeed to avoid 2 GB extra space for this.

If you set your text editor to 16 fix columns, the catalog is represented as one line for one star.

Columns  Short   Explanation

001-002  Hour    Hour of right ascension.
003-004  Minute  Minutes of right ascension.
004-007  Second  Seconds of right ascension in 1/10s, without decimal point.
008-008  Sign    Sign of declination
009-010  Degree  Degrees of declination
011-012  Arcmin  Arc minutes of declination
013-014  Arcsec  Arc seconds of declination
015-016  Mag     G Magnitude, no 1/10th values, just full mags.

The coordinates are for equinox J2000.0, but for epoch 2015.5.
That means, that the proper motions has been used to calculate the positions for 2015.5
